Dance: “Maldonne”, the cry of Leïla Ka’s body at the Cadences festival on the Arcachon basin

The choreographer revealed at the César ceremony presents “Maldonne” as part of the Cadences festival, on September 17 in La Teste-de-Buch
Short haircut, tracksuit and simple tank top that she covers with a ballerina dress: Leïla Ka sets the tone. The self-taught choreographer launched into the deep end by collaborations with Beyoncé and Zaho de Sagazan presents "Maldonne", the second highlight of the Cadences festival , on September 17. Building on the success of her first three creations performed in more than 20 countries, Leïla Ka offers her dancers a breathtaking show, set to poetic and spirited electro music, with a particularly strong focus on the upper body, one of her trademarks.
"Maldonne" tells, shouts and reveals the inequalities that women face, and the power of bodies, in a large, colorful, furiously contemporary ballet. "Maldonne" will be performed again this season in Oloron-Sainte-Marie (64) on January 15, Périgueux on March 17, Libourne (33) on March 19 and La Couarde (17) on April 25.
La Teste-de-Buch (33), at the Cadences festival, September 17. €12 to €38.
